Can-Do has a programme of storytelling and performance events, led by George Bassett who is a professional Storyteller and part of the Royal Company, Gillian Bates and a group of professional actors
We have a range of bespoke storytelling performances which cater to all ages. Our portfolio includes;
Halloween Ghost Walk (performed Devon and Sconce Park, Newark, Vicar Waters)
Christmas Tales (performed at Sherwood Forest Arts and Crafts Centre).
Robin & The Enchanted Forest (performed at Newark Book Festival).
The Sheriff of Nottingham (performed for Nottingham Trent Uni).
The Bard's Tales, a spectacular retelling of Shakespeare's stories through storytelling and performance, toured Newark last year to great acclaim and is available for 2019.
Performances can be held indoors or outdoors or in our Pop-Up Marquee (which doubles as our Pop-Up Cinema).

The Bard's Tales
Now booking for 2019
Can-Do Theatre brings you The Bard’s Tales - an irresistible and often hilarious combination of storytelling and performance. Join us to hear some of the folktales and mythology believed to have inspired Shakespeare’s plays. Suitable for indoor or outdoor performances. The company perform some of the Bard’s best-loved scenes from Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream and more.
The show opened to massive acclaim at Shelford and Sconce and Devon Park, Newark. The company uses a simple but effective set and PA system as three actors join acclaimed storyteller George Bassett for a two hour show. Available for bookins in 2019. Contact Gillian Bates on [email protected]
